Oren HR / How it works
Two agents. One rubric. No black boxes.
Oren gives every candidate and every company its own agent, and the two run the first round together through live conversation — on a call or by text.
For the candidate
Your Oren
Knows your strengths. Makes your case. Works only for you.
For the hiring team
Your company's Oren
Knows the role. Finds the evidence. Keeps your people in charge.
Your personal Oren
Not another interview bot.
Someone on your side.
Someone who gets you. Not just your résumé.
Call or text your personal Oren about what you've done, what you want, and what matters to you. It helps you see strengths you might not think to put on a résumé.
Maya's case
Private draftAn admin title. An operations mindset.
Built a reporting workflow that reduced weekly work from 4 hours to 30 minutes, then trained the team to use it.

OrenMaya, what would make your next job feel right for you?
YouMore problem solving. I automated our reports, but my title is still admin. I'd also like a hybrid role.
OrenThat sounds like operations experience. Let's unpack what you built — I'll help you make that case.

Design principles
Voice-first, not voice-only
A text conversation uses the same Oren and the same rubric.
Evidence over claims
A candidate's case rests on what they showed, not on how well they sell.
Consent at every handoff
Nothing crosses between parties without its owner's approval.
Score what people say, never how they sound
No accent, tone, pace or "confidence" in the rubric.
The company's process
- 01
Brief Oren on the role
The hiring manager talks the role through with Oren, or pastes a job description. Oren drafts the posting, rubric and assessment.
- 02
Approve the role
The manager approves the rubric and assessment; the HR approver confirms the role is real, budgeted and has a decision date. The rubric locks.
- 03
Publish
The role goes live on the careers page, job boards and to opted-in candidates. Every apply link points to Oren.
- 04
Applications arrive
Knockout questions run instantly — anyone who doesn't meet a hard requirement gets an answer right away.
- 05
Oren interviews
Identity check, then an adaptive live interview by voice or text, plus a work sample where the role needs one. Nothing for your team to do — but anyone can listen to any recording.
- 06
Approve decisions
The HR approver gets a batch of proposed decisions, each with reasons, and approves or overrides them. Overrides need a reason and are logged.
- 07
Meet finalists
The manager gets a brief for each finalist — scores with quoted evidence, transcripts and recordings — with interviews already booked.
- 08
Decide and close
The offer goes out through your existing tools. Every remaining candidate hears back inside the promised window, within Ontario's 45-day limit.
- 09
90-day check-in
Oren links each new hire's performance back to their interview scores and suggests rubric changes for the manager to approve.
The candidate's process
- 01
Discover a role
Find a posting and tap apply, or your Oren texts you about a match — only if you opted in.
- 02
Meet or reopen your Oren
A short setup conversation learns your history, skills, goals and deal-breakers. A résumé is optional.
- 03
Fit check
Oren says honestly whether you meet the must-haves before you spend any time.
- 04
Ask about the job
Pay range, remote policy, team, timeline — answered by the company's Oren from facts the company approved.
- 05
Approve the case
You see exactly what Oren will share and approve or edit it first. Nothing crosses without your approval.
- 06
Interview
Identity check, then a live conversation by voice or text, plus a short work sample where needed.
- 07
Track status
A tracker shows the current stage and the date a decision is due — like tracking a package.
- 08
Hear back
Your own Oren delivers the outcome, with feedback by rubric area and next steps.
- 09
Keep going
Better-fit roles and practice sessions, only with your consent.

Sample feedback, delivered by the candidate's Oren
Hi Maya — thank you for your time. We're not moving forward for Senior Analyst. Your stakeholder communication scored in the top 10%. The gap was forecasting depth: the role needs advanced time-series modeling from day one. Based on your results, you're a strong match for Analytics Lead, Ops — want us to share your profile?
Trust, fairness and compliance
Fairness
The rubric is locked before applications open, and every candidate is scored against it. Protected information is removed before a case reaches the company's Oren. Pass rates at each stage are monitored across groups, and a person signs off before anyone is rejected.
Consent and privacy
Candidates are told AI is involved and agree to recording before the interview starts. Texts go only to people who opted in. Candidates own their profile and can see, edit, delete or export it — and pause matching anytime. One company's verdict never reaches another.
Accessibility
A text interview with the same rubric, extra time, or a human interviewer on request.
